New! Innovation Talks@Volkswagen Infotainment

How can digitalization help in daily life? Volkswagen Infotainment is tirelessly working on digital mobility solutions for tomorrow’s vehicles. Digitalization reaches far beyond the automotive world, however. We have recently initiated the ‘Innovation Talks’, a series of presentations where specialists of diverse fields come to Bochum and show our employees their pioneering work. The first speaker in the series was Prof. Dr. Yoshiyuki Sankai, the founder and CEO of the Cybernics company Cyberdyne. Focus is on the Cyborg interface: Human nerve impulses are captured and translated into electrical current that can be interpreted by machines. This allows humans to move robotic limbs by virtue of their own signals that reflect their intention. A true support for those suffering from para- or tetraplegia!
