Volkswagen Infotainment donates to Bochum charity!
Volkswagen Infotainment’s employees had a novel opportunity this year to help out a charity of their choosing. For the past few years in the days around St. Nicholas, Volkswagen Infotainment has given a sum to support a local charity. A novelty in 2022: Our employees could submit proposals for the charity to support. The rule: Only organizations that the employees themselves are active in could be suggested. All proposals were then put to a digital vote. This year’s winner was the Ambulanter Kinder- und Jugendhospizdienst Löwenzahn Bochum (children's and youth hospice service). Löwenzahn’s voluntary companions look after children and their families on an outpatient basis at home, where they are safe. The children's hospice provides permanent companions and counselors at the families’ side, a welcome support for those in need. At the end of November, the symbolic handover of the donation check took place at Löwenzahn’s offices. Our CEOs Bernhard Krausse and Tobias Nadjib and employee Olaf Dillmann, who had submitted the proposal, met with Andrea Eickholt (responsible and full-time coordinator of the hospice service) to present the symbolic check. The money will be used for training volunteers and financing children’s excursions.
